BC Festival 2019 Colours

Royal Blue, White & Navy Blue

Hi Everyone!

As you know, region 9 Thompson Shuswap and region 3 Okanagan are co-hosting the BC Festival on July 11-13, 2019 in Salmon Arm.

This is a full festival. Included in the three days of dancing with panels of callers, cuers, and instructors, are workshops in various levels of Square, West Coast or Condensed, Round, Clogging, Contra, and Line dancing. In addition, there is a Trail-In dance on July 10 organized by region 9 and a Trail-Out dance on July 14 organized by region 3.

We are offering:

  • an early bird draw for the first 50 registrations
  • free introductory workshops of all dance forms (except Rounds) to the general public
  • vendors’ booths
  • farmers’ markets
  • wine tours
  • houseboat tours.

To promote ‘our’ festival, there’s a display board set for each region: Jean Wood has one for region 9 and I have the other for region 3. The display is intended to ‘travel’ with any regional dancer who attends out-of-town dances, festivals, etc. Please let your members know.

The display has already travelled to the:

  • BC Festival 2017 in Cloverdale
  • Alberta Caller School in Wetaskiwin
  • Peachfest in Penticton
  • Alberta Jamboree in Ft. Saskatchewan
  • Alberta Convention in Edmonton
  • Penticton October Party Night
  • Westsyde 60th Anniversary November Party Night

Each travel display kit consists of: 2 display boards (one about the Festival, the other about what to see and do in regions 3 & 9 – see below), brochures, and registration forms.

So, before you go dancing out-of-town, contact Jean jwood@wellroundedsquare.com 250-833-9227 or me to make arrangements to bring the display kit with you.

Please stay informed about ‘our’ festival by visiting our website bcfestival2019.com for registration forms, festival fees, brochure, general information and regular updates.

And, don’t be shy – tell all your dancing friends about ‘our’ festival, whether they live in BC, elsewhere in Canada, USA, Europe, Australia, or Asia.

Thannnnnk you for helping us promote BC Festival 2019.
