BC Festival 2019 Colours

Royal Blue, White & Navy Blue

Dear Dancing Friends,

The Thompson-Shuswap and Okanagan Square & Round Dance Associations invite all dancers worldwide to come dance with us at the BC Festival on July 11-13, 2019 in Salmon Arm, BC.

The BC Festival is a biennial event sponsored by British Columbia Square & Round Dance Federation and hosted by different regions of the federation. In 2019, two regions will host this event; Region 3 in the Okanagan and Region 9 in the Thompson-Shuswap. These regions encompass clubs from the Kamloops area, through Salmon Arm, and down to Penticton. Please check their websites for more information about these clubs: region3.squaredance.bc.ca and region9.squaredance.bc.ca

Included in the three days of dancing with panels of callers, cuers, and instructors, there will be workshops offered for various levels in Square, West Coast or Condensed, Round, Clogging, Contra, and Line dancing. In addition, there will be a Trail-In dance on July 10 and a Trail-Out dance on July 14.

The Thompson-Shuswap and Okanagan regions are renowned for their wineries, orchards, lakes, and beaches. Why not make it a holiday as you weave your way through the wonders and beauty of the Thompson-Shuswap and Okanagan Valleys.

Our website, bcfestival2019.com is currently being designed and should be online very soon. Information about where you can dance during your visit and festival updates will be posted as they become available.

The Festival program and general information are outlined in the brochure. By completing the Expression of Interest form, you’re helping us develop dance and workshop programs that you’re sure to enjoy. Festival fees are listed on the Registration form.

Invite your friends and dancers, whether they live in BC, elsewhere in Canada, USA, Europe, Australia, or Asia. They’ll have a great time, meet old friends, make new friends, and create lasting memories for years to come.

Thannnnnk you for helping us promote BC Festival 2019. See you on the floor!
